Rosendal’s Barony range draws its inspiration from the beauty of rural Norway, more specifically the village of Rosendal, from where Rosendal Winery’s founding owners hailed from. Inspired by the region’s beauty, the award-winning winemaker created a wine that simultaneously echoes the quality and timeless distinction of Norwegian design.

Rosendal Wine’s award-winning winemaker, Therese de Beer, sources the best quality produce from across the Western Cape to craft fine and premium wines.

Rosendal has recently been listed at exclusive venues such as the Caviar and Harbour House groups of restaurants. They were also recently awarded various 4-stars in the 2017 Platter’s Wine Guide, prestigious IWSC awards, Michelangelo medals, and a Veritas Symbol of Excellence.

What is it?

Barony August Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

The colour shows shades of vibrant purple with a red hue. Classic aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and plums are complemented by hints of dried fynbos and tea leaves. Soft dark fruit flavours on the palate intertwine with a fine tannin structure, resulting in a wine of great elegance. It is medium bodied with ample balance and length.

Rosendal Reserve Cape Francolin Bordeaux Blend

This is a classic Bordeaux blend consisting of all five noble grape varieties. The colour is garnet rouge and very dense. Dark berry fruits and aromatic herbal notes greet you on the nose, while ripe and concentrated cassis and dark chocolate flavours line the palate. The wine is medium to full bodied with great depth and balance. Firm tannins and a harmonious acidity deliver a long and rewarding finish.
