DO I NEED AN OFFSHORE WILL?
A local will may not be sufficient to cater for worldwide assets. To deal with complexities such as foreign inheritance taxes and probate issues, you may also need a separate offshore will.
IS IT TIME TO REVIEW MY WILL?
Your last will and testament is one of the most important documents you’ll ever sign. It should be regularly reviewed, especially if legislation or your circumstances change.
IS MY TRUST DEED UP TO DATE?
The establishment of a discretionary trust, founded by you or one of your family members, is one way of protecting your legacy for generations to come.
WE CAN ASSIST YOU WITH
LOCAL AND OFFSHORE TRUSTS
We specialise in the formation and registration of trusts, including BEE, charitable, special and Shariah trusts. We ensure compliance with the most current regulatory and legislative requirements and provide independent trusteeships as well as trustee training.
GLOBAL ESTATE PLANNING
We help facilitate the orderly transfer of your wealth to the next generation through global estate planning. This includes advice on complex structures, asset restructuring and bequests in foreign jurisdictions, as well as the administration of deceased estates in South Africa and abroad.
TAX MATTERS ACROSS JURISDICTIONS
We provide advice on emigration and immigration, foreign earnings and the application of any double taxation agreements, as well as the potential tax consequences and reporting obligations if you hold a US passport or green card, or if you have children living in the US.
We offer expert advice on the establishment and management of charitable organisations, their tax status and tax-deductible donations.
