Sanlam Private Wealth fund
scoops top accolades in London
One of Sanlam Private Wealth’s international funds has scored a hat-trick of prestigious industry awards in London over the past few weeks. The Sanlam Global High Quality Fund walked off with accolades at this year’s Investors Choice Awards, City of London Wealth Management Awards (COLWMA), and Private Asset Manager (PAM) Awards.
The Sanlam Global High Quality Fund forms part of Sanlam Private Wealth’s global equity offering, which includes segregated mandates. It was established in February 2014 to meet the increasing demand for global investments among Sanlam Private Wealth clients, and invests in blue-chip international companies that have diverse sources of revenue in terms of product line, geography and currency.
The fund aims to produce total returns in excess of the MSCI World Index over the medium to long term. It’s managed on an active, unconstrained, benchmark-agnostic and high-conviction basis while tactically using cash as a risk management tool. Ranked among the top funds globally in 2017 based on Trustnet data for the international peer group, it has since inception beaten both the FTSE All Share Index and the broader MSCI World Index.
‘We’re absolutely delighted with these top industry accolades,’ says Pieter Fourie, Head of Global Equities at Sanlam Private Wealth and lead manager of the Global High Quality Fund. ‘Winning these awards is a huge achievement, reflecting not only the strong performance of the fund, but also the rigour and focus with which it is managed.’
Daniël Kriel, CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth comments, ‘We’re immensely proud to have been given the nod by not only our industry, but also investors. These accolades show that our decision back in 2014 to establish the Global High Quality Fund in London was the right one, which has paid off handsomely for our clients. The awards demonstrate the commitment of Sanlam Private Wealth to building market-leading products and services that meet the needs of our clients.’
Investors who have regulatory approval to do so, can invest directly in the Sanlam Global High Quality Fund. Investors restricted from going the direct route, or who find it impractical do to so, can invest in the fund via the Sanlam Private Wealth Global High Quality Feeder Fund.

The performance of portfolios depend on the underlying assets and variable market factors. Performance is based on NAV to NAV calculations with income reinvestments done on the ex-dividend date. Portfolios may invest in other unit trusts which levy their own fees and may result is a higher fee structure for Sanlam Private Wealth’s portfolios.
All portfolio options presented are approved collective investment schemes in terms of Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, No. 45 of 2002. Funds may from time to time invest in foreign countries and may have risks regarding liquidity, the repatriation of funds, political and macroeconomic situations, foreign exchange, tax, settlement, and the availability of information.
